In 2024, we, Élise, Pedro, and our two children, left everything behind to live closer to the ocean, where time stretches with the rhythm of the tides. Far from the superfluous, we chose to return to the essential: nature, its raw and singular beauty.

Here in Hossegor, nature is everywhere. The ocean, of course, but also the vast pine forests, wild dunes, lakes, and shaded trails. It's this everyday setting that fuels our desire to create with what nature offers us—or reminds us of it. Wood, omnipresent and alive. Plastic, too often washed up by the waves.

But the ocean, as majestic as it may be, has become a silent witness to our impact on the environment. Faced with the waste washed up on the beaches, we felt the need to take action, on our own scale, by revitalizing, among other things, materials considered waste.

Our creations are handcrafted in Hossegor, in small batches, with care and precision. Some pieces incorporate recycled plastic, collected locally and transformed into colorful plates with unique patterns. Others, more refined, are made exclusively of wood, highlighting the grain, texture, and authenticity of the material.

We favor sustainable materials, local supply chains, and meaningful handcraftsmanship. Each piece is unique and reflects our intimate connection with the ocean, the forest, and the elements.

Petite Vague offers objects that embody a simpler way of life, more connected to nature:

  • Tide clocks, to follow the coming and going of the ocean and live at its pace,
  • Wall clocks, sober and elegant to savor the passing of time.
