The shortest possible circuit

Recycle, locally

At the house ofLittle Wave, each creation tells a story. That of the ocean, of course, but also that of the concrete actions we take to preserve it. This is why we have chosen to integrate a unique material into some of our pieces: recycled plastic, collected and transformed locally, in partnership with the associationRESAK.

From waste to design, in a short circuit

Based in Anglet, RESAK is a non-profit organization that transforms plastic waste that escapes traditional recycling channels into aesthetic and sustainable panels. Their approach is circular and local: plastics are collected within a radius of less than 100 km around their workshop, sorted, washed, crushed, and then compressed into unique sheets. It is this plastic that we use to craft some of our tide clocks. Each sheet has its own hues, unpredictable patterns, and material accidents. This is what makes this material so powerful: it is recycled, local, and impossible to reproduce. Like the sea, each piece is unique.

Working with RESAK is more than just a choice of materials. It's supporting a virtuous model, a committed team that educates more than 6,000 people each year about recycling issues, and has already diverted more than 7 tons of plastic from landfill or incineration since 2019.

It also means promoting often neglected plastics (polypropylene, polystyrene), giving them a second life, and doing soas close to home as possible, in line with our desire to remain inshort circuit.

At the house ofLittle Wave, we believe that every object can become a bearer of meaning. By working with recycled materials, by manufacturing locally and by hand, we contribute, on our scale, to a form of poetic resistance: that of a world wherebeauty can also be lasting, and where commitment rhymes with elegance.
